Joel has more than 25 years of experience as a counselor, helping people find answers to the difficulties they face as they navigate relationships with family, friends, co-workers and self. He utilizes a holistic approach to help clients improve job and school performance, as well as their overall level of satisfaction with relationships. He is comfortable combining the power of spirituality with the science of psychology and believes his work as a counselor can unlock the potential found in all of us.

Joel is a former director of an intensive outpatient substance abuse program and has worked successfully with individuals as they struggle to overcome the challenges posed by addiction. Additionally, Joel has completed advanced training in mental health, specifically anxiety and depression. He also provides healthy relationship tools addressing individual and common goals. Joel prefers a straight forward approach helping clients to discern what is or is not working and a plan of action.

Joel graduated cum laude with a degree in psychology from the University of Arkansas and has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wyoming. He holds a license in professional counseling from the state of Arkansas.

Joel is a native of Northwest Arkansas and enjoys spending time with his spouse and two college-age sons.
