Rogers is the eighth largest city in Arkansas with a population of 55,964. The motto for the city is “Where Possible Lives”. The city was named after Captain Charles Warrington Rogers who was the vice president of the St. Louis Railway. The town was first established in 1881, and incorporated the same year. The city is one of the most visited cities in the state as there are so many different recreational activities to enjoy.
Every little boy has probably owned a Daisy BB gun, and the Daisy Airgun Museum is located in downtown. The Daisy Airgun Museum has many different displays and exhibits along with a gift shop where you can purchase your very own Daisy air gun.
Beaver Lake, Hobbs State Park, and War Eagle Mill and Cavern are excellent locations in the city where visitors can go fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, and exploring. Visitors and their families can spend the entire day at one of these parks around the water and have a great time. The Pea Ridge National Military Park is a historic park where the Battle of Pea Ridge was fought during the civil war. The military park has a driving tour, restored battlefields, hiking trails, and a museum where visitors can see displays and exhibits of the war that was fought in this area. Visitors will enjoy the beauty of the park and show honor to the men who lost their lives there.
Historic downtown is where the heart and soul of the city is. There are art galleries, shopping, and dining available in downtown. Visitors can stroll along with brick-lined streets, then stop by Dickey’s BBQ, Bliss Cupcake, or Slim Chickens for a delicious meal and dessert.
